Charity Rack

At Sold You Twice, we are proud to offer a Charity Rack for the renters.

Once you have finished your rental with us and you don’t want to take some or all of your clothes back home, you are welcome to donate them to the Charity Rack.

We will nominate a different charity every month and donate all proceeds made from the clothes on this rack to that particular charity.  T’s & C’s Apply

Sold You Twice is Adelaide’s newest rent a rack clothing and accessories store located in Highbury.

Here we provide the opportunity for you to give your quality preloved clothes a second chance at finding a new home.

Take the hassle out of doing it yourself from home by placing your items in a genuine retail store giving them the valued exposure they deserve.

Once you have done initial set-up, leave the rest to us. We will tidy and maintain your rack for your entire rental period, taking away all the stress. Just sit back and watch your wardrobe turn into cash.

Sold You Twice FAQs

1 - How long can I rent a rack for?

You can rent a rack for either 1 or 2 weeks however we do recommend 2 weeks for best results as this will give your clothes the most customer exposure as possible.

2 - What booking system do you use?

We use Zellr which is an online cloud-based booking system.

Here you create an account and login.  This will then give you access to the Zellr platform where you can select your rental period and which rack you would like.  You can then create your barcodes for the items you would like to sell by typing in the description, price and size etc… When your rental period begins you will be able to login to Zellr to track how your sales are going.

3 - How do I print the labels?

You can print the labels at home or from any device that is connected to a printer.  You will need to be able to login to Zellr and print direct from the software or you can download the PDF and print it that way.

If none of that is possible, we can print them for you instore.

4 - Do I use my own coat hangers?

No, we supply coat hangers and pant hangers.

For hygiene and display purposes, only our hangers are permitted to be used and must not leave the store.

5 - Do you supply safety pins?

Yes absolutely!  Feel free to come into store prior to your rental to pick up some safety pins at no additional charge.  We also have some ‘tag ties’ available which are great for attaching your price tags to shoes and handbags etc

6 - Can I attach my price tags to my items in store on set up day?

Unfortunately No.  Due to lack of free space you will need to price your items at home and have them ready for set-up day.  If you are short of time, don’t forget we offer a ‘Drop-off Service’ (additional fees apply)

7 - When can I set up my rack?

Rack set-up is anytime during opening hours on the first day of your rental (No later than 1 hour before closing time).  Please keep in mind the earlier you set your rack up in the day the more exposure time your items will have.

It may be possible for you to set your rack up the day before IF your rack has been cleared by the previous renter.  Please call the store to check first.

8 - Can I refill my rack as items sell?

Definitely!! As you sell your items you are welcome to replace them at anytime the store is open.

Please do not exceed your rack limits.

9 - How much should I sell my items for?

The best advice we can give is if you were the shopper, what would you be willing to pay for this item?

Most people that shop in our store will not pay more than $40 for most things with the exception of top label or high-end brands like Camilla, Sass & Bide, Burberry etc etc

Our customers are looking for that bargain, that treasure. Great quality, great brands for a great price.

10 - Can customers try on clothes?

Absolutely, we have 3 large fitting rooms so you should never have to wait!

11 - What items can I sell in your store?

GOOD QUALITY, clean items in great condition.  Clothes (excluding underwear), shoes handbags, hats and scarves.

We recommend selling clothing that is in season at the time eg summer clothes in the warmer months etc

Current fashion labels/brand names sell really well.

Please keep your fast fashion brands to a minimum and price accordingly. These brands would include and not limited to:  Shein, Kmart, ed.it.ed, Big W, Temt, Supre and Valley Girl.  We all know they are not expensive to start with and do not sell well.

MOST IMPORTANT:  Clothes MUST be clean, washed, free from odour, ironed, undamaged, well presented and fashionable.

Please DO NOT try to sell your old, out of date, worn out clothes that have been in your wardrobe for 10 years, they will not sell.

We will not accept clothes that don’t fit these criteria.  Please avoid embarrassment by being declined for not following these standards and please also keep in mind we do not give refunds on rack rentals.

If any unsuitable items are noticed after your rack is set up, Sold You Twice will remove them for your rack.

 

Luxury Cabinet: Luxury items over $150 can include handbags, shoes and watches etc.  Please ask if you have an item you wish to place in this cabinet.

Gift Box: Subject to space availability and approval by staff at Sold You Twice.

This area can be for unopened, unused items in original packaging.  It could be a perfume you were gifted that you don’t want or a candle perhaps.

But please, if we say no, don’t be offended. We don’t want the store resembling brick a brac.

12 - Can I sell men’s or children’s clothing?

At Sold You Twice we are targeting the Adult women’s clothing market.  However, if you have some men’s or Children’s clothing (size 7-14 only) it is acceptable to place a few of these items on your rack but we request it does not make up the majority of your items.

13 - What if my clothes go missing or are damaged?

Due to the nature of the retail industry it is possible that thing may get stolen or damaged.

At Sold You Twice we take no responsibility in the case of theft, fire, water damage, robbery, damage to your items in store by customers or any other factor out of our control.

14 - Can a customer negotiate a different price on my items?

No, once you have priced your items that is the price the customer must pay for it.  We will not discount your items unless instructed by you.

15 - How do I bring my items to the store?

A suitcase, washing basket or plastic tub are easy options for the transportation of your items.

16 - Do you accept card payments in store or only cash?

Most definitely.  We accept both cash and card payments.
